Summer- ah what a great time of the year... maybe? So, you plan that summer vacation, the beach, North, South Carolina, Florida and the Keys. Opps, hurricane season is June 1, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, hmmm, no hurricanes, but Wildfires are the issue. So you can plan and try to avoid the heart of hurricane or wildfire most imminent time periods.

However, if you are a homeowner, and live in these beautiful parts of the USA, you have to deal with it on a real life approach. So you need to make plans. Do all the safety things I can tell you, but here are some comforting bits of information to know about insurance companies being proactive to the risk factors.

Chubb, AIG, and Pure all have Wildfire protection programs, and if you live in a Wildfire prone area, you can subscribe to the Wildfire Protection program. What you get.. private firefighters hired, houses wrapped in fire- resistant foil, private helicopters bringing water and other measures to minimize the threat, by the carriers to protect your home, their risk, as they don't want to see a loss, any less than you.

Hurricanes- each carrier mentioned above has a Hurricane protection unit, designed to minimize the damage to your home after the storm passes. Say what, here is how that works. Once the storm passes, but before citizens get the "all clear" to return, these carrier have requested early access from the county government. They will go in, and make sure to tarp the hole in your roof, or windows and any preventive measure to minimize further damage to your residence. Pretty cool, and no charge! That's right, the carriers do it, because it saves you and them time, and money from more repairs to a house that just sits.

Pretty Cool stuff, so if you ever wondered, are all carriers the same, nope, and just remember, you get what you pay for!

Interested, Let's talk!
